Kitty Rug

I started this rug in the fall. I bought the pattern but I can’t remember why I wanted to make it :).  It worked up pretty fast as it uses three strands of yarn. I used Red Heart brand. I don’t like putting things together so I had to psych myself up to do it. It was easy to put together just cumbersome because of the size. The pattern is worth the purchase. It is very well written, has clear instructions and corresponding pictures included. The pattern is by Ira Rott. It is called Sassy the Kitty Cat. You can find the pattern here.

I made these cats from a free pattern from Crochet Stitch Witch. You can get the pattern here.

The black one I made  with G hook and worsted weight yarn. I had fun making him. I don’t usually get creative with faces and I enjoyed doing that with these cats.  Since I do sell crochet at a few craft shows, I decided to make a couple more. The brown one was a little bigger yarn that I found in my stash. I fell in love with him and am keeping him.

I really like Bernat Blanket Yarn. I attempted to make the pattern in gray using an L hook. I am not too pleased about how it turned out. I would adjust the pattern to make it come out a little rounder if I made it again using the Blanket Yarn (that probably won’t happen).

I am surprised I made three of them as I tend to only make a pattern once. Now on to the next pattern. 🙂
