Friendly Red Fox CAL’s

This past summer, The Friendly Red Fox hosted a couple CAL where she released parts of her patterns for the Elephant and Molly for free on her blog. You can find them here at Ravelry: Elephant  and Molly.

They were both fun and quick to make.  Her one tip that was new to me, was to use plastic hair rollers in the neck to keep the neck from flopping.  I had my sister grab some for me at the dollar store so I could try it.  It works pretty well.

She also demonstrated a way to change colors to prevent a step/jump in the color.  Basically the first stitch of the new color is a slip stitch.  It seemed to help make the color change less noticeable.

I recommend her patterns. Her blog is here: The Friendly Red Fox.
