I love owls. When I first saw the pattern for this owl, I couldn’t wait to make it. The pattern is by Repeat Crafter Me and you can get it here.
When the pattern came out, it used Bernat Blanket yarn which was new at the time. I fell in love with the yarn and have become slightly obsessed with it. Most of the patterns out there are for blankets but I prefer to make soft animals and toys out of it. I am always on the lookout for patterns that this yarn would work well with.
It takes me about 3 1/2 hours to make the owl. This owl (and the interest in it) is what started me selling my crocheting. In 2016 I sold quit a few of the owls. The only way I was able to make so many is I LOVE the yarn. It is so soft.
If you have not used the Bernat Blanket Yarn yet, this is an easy pattern to try it out on. It uses one big skein (10.5 oz) for the body.
